Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Liceu Filosófico collects, why it collects it, and what you can require of us. Beatriz Martins is established in Portugal, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to this processing.
Who controls your data
Your data is processed by Beatriz Martins, who runs Liceu Filosófico and acts as the data controller within the meaning of Article 4(7) GDPR.
PLACEHOLDER: registered trading name and full postal address of the controller, once settled.
What we collect
From the sign-up form: your full name, phone number and email address. Those are the only fields on the form, and you fill in all of them.
From browsing: aggregate usage data collected by Google Analytics (pages viewed, where the visit came from, device type). We do not use it to identify you individually.
We collect no special-category data under Article 9 GDPR, and this site asks for no address, identity document or payment details.
Why we use it
To contact you about the course, handle your enrolment and give you access to the community. That is all.
The lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract — when you submit the form; and Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interests, for aggregate audience measurement.
We do not sell, rent or pass your data to third parties for their own advertising.
Who we share it with
Resend — the service that delivers the message generated by the form to our inbox.
Circle — the platform the community runs on, if you enrol.
Google Analytics — aggregate browsing metrics.
Our hosting provider. Some of these process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, the transfer relies on the safeguards in Chapter V GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
PROPOSAL, to be confirmed: contact details of people who did not enrol are deleted within 12 months of the last contact. Student data is kept for as long as the relationship lasts and for the retention period required by law afterwards.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to be told whether we process your data and to access it, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these, write to hello@beatrizmartins.pt. We answer within one month, as Article 12(3) requires.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in Portugal, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), and otherwise the authority where you live or work.
Cookies
We use Google Analytics cookies to measure audience. You can block them in your browser settings without losing access to any part of this site.
